The GROUP function is one of the best features of a community site like Falmouth PO as it allows categorising members of like interests and experiences. this means you don’t have to interact with everyone, just your friends and others of like mind.

Anyone can create a group and receive members. On joining, new members are given a list of groups from which to choose. You can also choose to join a group at anytime, although some administrators may make their group private. Each member can post updates to the group and this will form one big pool of Group updates, photos, blog posts, videos, etc.

Speaking of administrator, each group will have one and he/she can define the roles of members. Each group can have a group blog with articles being submitted by members and the scope of contribution will also be determined by the administrator.

I will be starting a few groups and will eventually ask members who I think are interested to take over the administration as soon as there are enough participants.

Oh, lest I forget, each group will also have a wiki page, which is a website that allows the easy creation and editing of web pages by contributors (group members). each small contribution adds up into making the wiki a largedata packed information source. For example, I am really excited about the prospects of a Village United FC wiki in which contributors can chronicle the history of the club possibly making it the best source of Village United history and information.

I hope I have covered enough of the Group module for users to understand.
