The Falmouth police have declared an all out war on robots (illegal taxis). the police has been relentless over the past few weeks, obviously determined, once and for all, to rid the town of the illegal taxis. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Previously, it was the transport authority that taxi drivers had to fear as the police had more or less left the seizure of vehicles to the transport authority. The public passenger transportation system in Falmouth like the rest of Jamaica, is dominated by illegal taxis. Police Flood the Town of Falmouth

For the past two weeks, there has been a flood of fresh, young police into Falmouth, amazing everyone with their numbers as we have never seen so many police in the town…ever (at least in the short time I have been on earth). Policemen and women, in large groups can be seen on beat duty. I counted over 15 of them together in one instance in Water Square.
