Housing Explosion in Falmouth, Trelawny Falmouth is expanding at a rapid rate. I have no data on the statistic, but it should be fair to say that Falmouth is the fastest growing town in Jamaica. I would love to know a town in the country that is growing faster. At the moment, apart from the boom in new businesses in response to the Falmouth Pier development and its spin-offs, the most noticeable growth is in housing solutions. A Visit To Holland Estates Housing Site On Labour Day 2011

Ground was broken on for the Holland Estates Development in Martha Brae in December of 2010, a project that is scheduled to build what is heralded as Jamaica’s first University Town (is that right, wasn’t Mona a University town…am I mistaken?). The project to be undertaken over 6 years will contain 1,385 habitable units varying in size from duplex studios, two- and three-bedroom detached units, and university campus of the University of Technology (UTech).
