Dennis Meadows Officially Resigns From North Trelawny

Former JLP Seator,, Dennis Meadows, officially resigned from the position of Jamaica Labour Party caretaker for North Trelawny. Meadows publicized his resignation through a press release. Meadows has unsuccessfully contested the almost impenetrable pro PNP seat of North Trelawny in the last two general elections (2007 and 2011). Dennis had to overcome the stigma of not being from the parish, yet he performed creditably as a newcomer in 2007. At that time he was defeated by Dr EV Patrick Harris. He remained in the parish, but unfortunately for him and the JLP, he was reportedly hardly seen in the communities.

Politics Over-Shadowing Historic Falmouth Port

Thursday, February 17th, 2011 was an historic day in Falmouth, Jamaica as Royal Caribbean Cruises, The Voyager of the Seas became the first ship to dock at the multi-billion dollar Falmouth Pier. The ship, the 13th largest cruises ship in the world, carries 3138 passengers and there was great celebration in the town for the entire day.
