___________________________________________________________________________ Ash Wednesday is the Christian holiday that marks the beginning of lent, when Jesus fasted for 40 days and 40 nights in the wilderness. It is a public holiday in Jamaica and is also the traditional day on which the annual Hague Agricultural Show is held at the Hague Show Grounds, about 2 miles from Falmouth Jamaica. Hague Show, as it is called by the local folk, allows Trelawny’s farmers and companies to showcase and sell their produce.
