Falmouth, Jamaica is developing at a fast pace and attractions are gradually being added to the pool of things to do in Falmouth. One of the newest attractions is Pepper’s Jerk Center.

Pepper’s Jerk Center is built on a historic property that dates back to the days of slavery. The property has a slave owner’s house (still standing) and slave quarters. The bricks on the wall and walkway leading up to the restaurant are relics preserved from that era.
Persons familiar with Falmouth will know it as the old Christian Hardware lumber yard. For those unfamiliar, Its exact location is on Duke Street (coming from the town center) after passing the intersection of Duke and King Streets and passing 3 buildings on the right hand side of the road.
The Jerk Center (restaurant) features the world famous Jamaican Jerk Chicken and Jerk Pork on the menu complete with the house chef’s unique natural sauce (made from his special, secret ingredients). The sauce is also available for sale and is a favorite among visitors who have tasted the spicy flavor.

The attraction also features a bar where you can get all types of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and interact with the pleasant owners and their staff.

Pepper’s Fridaze
Operated by Clint Rennie (aka Top Man) and Vahn Miller, it is no surprise that the ultimate party animal (Clint Rennie) would have his own party. The highlight of the week is Pepper’s Jerk Center’s weekly party called Pepper’s Fridaze, which features a variety of musical genres (ending with a Dancehall segment) featuring Jamaica’s best selectors. Twice per month, there is a dress theme that is advertised on Pepper’s Jerk Center’s Facebook Page before the day of the party and each party features a photo shoot for the Pepper’s Facebook Page where patrons can also request that photos be tagged to their Facebook profiles. The party has become the number one weekend party in the party crazed parish of Trelawny.

When next in Falmouth, take a walk down to Pepper’s Jerk Center, located at 20 Duke Street, just 5 minutes walk from the Falmouth Pier and right in the heart of Falmouth. Pepper’s Jerk Center is a tranquil attraction and is appreciated as a quiet, relaxing, historic spot with a homely feeling just next door to the hustle and bustle of the town center.
Pepper’s Jerk Center is another great addition to the list of things to do in Falmouth, Jamaica.

Totally fulljoyed my time with other family members at Pepper’s. Reminded me of a nite spot here in Orlando,Fl. Will definitely be one of my stops on my next trip. And yes Brian, it will be sooner than later.
